Those are two great ideas to store in the back of your mind for when you want to create a much longer story. Both of them would be amazing.
There is a poem called Trees by Harry Behm and it begins with , “Trees are the kindest things I know. They do no harm, the simply grow…” But what if in the middle of the peaceful forest…?
