I had a dream last night…

Chapter One                                                                                                                             “Last night I had a dream,” said Rosie when she woke up. “I had a dream I was a super hero with invisibility and I won at hide and seek!”

Later That Day Chapter Two

“Hey guys, want to play hide and seek!?” asked Emily on the playground at recess.

“Oh ya,” said Rosie.

“I will count,” said Isabella. “One, two, three….”

Rosie went to hide. “I have no where to hide,” said Rosie.  Then all of a sudden she flinched and someone walked through her like they didn’t know she was there. “What!?” she said surprised on the playground. Then she walked over to her teacher when she said time to line up. “Can you feel me?” said Rosie. “Where’s Rosie,” said her teacher. “I’m right here!” said Rosie. Then it hit her.  Her dream was coming to life, SHE WAS INVISIBLE!!!!!! Then she said, “I found a place to hide!” and like that she was back to normal. “Wow!” she said. “I have super powers I can control.”

Tomorrow Chapter Three

She decided to try turning invisible holding someone’s hand and seeing if they turned invisible too.  She told Emily about her plan and Emily was honored. So at recess they snuck over behind a tree in the early afternoon.

“Ok, you ready,” said Rosie.

“Ready,” said Emily.

“3, 2, 1, GO!!”

“Ok walk through me,” said Emily.

“Where are you?” asked Rosie.

“I’m over here,” said Emily. It worked! She and Rosie were invisible!

“Okay, now that we are invisible, let’s get back to normal,” said Rosie.

“Alright,” said Emily.

So Rosie said, “I found somewhere to hide!” All of a sudden they were back to normal.

“That was awesome!!!” shrieked Emily.

“You can’t tell anyone,” said Rosie.

“O.k,” said Emily. Someone was walking toward them. It was Isabella.

“Hey want to play tag?!” she yelled.

“Oh ya!” said Rosie and Emily together. Then they ran up the jungle gym, but wait, what? Emily was going as fast as flash!

“EMILY! Your running really fast!”

“I am,” said Emily!

“I think it’s your super power!” said Rosie. “We have to keep our powers a secret.  I need somewhere to hide.” But she didn’t turn invisible, she just stood there. “Time to line up,” yelled her teacher.

“What?” Said Rosie.

 Chapter Four

The next day Rosie tried turning invisible again behind a tree, and she turned invisible. “Looks like I have a mystery to solve,” said Rosie. She went to go tell Emily.

“Hey Em, looks like we have a mystery to solve.”

“I love a good mystery,” said Emily. We just need detective outfits.”

“Oh ya,” said Rosie.

“After school come to my house,” said Emily. “Tell your mom we are going to have a playdate.”

“O.k,” said Rosie.

Chapter Five

Later in the day Rosie walked over to Emily’s after she’d  told her mom about the playdate. At Emily’s house they got their outfits from Emily’s old Halloween costumes. (She and her 1st grade brother had dressed up as detective partners the past year.)

“I want to decorate mine in glitter,” said Emily.

“Concentrate Emily, we’ve got a case to solve.”

“Okay,” said Emily. The next couple days they kept on trying their powers and they noticed that every time they saw the same thing they couldn’t do their powers. That couldn’t be the problem because they looked at the same thing when they did there power the next time.  They didn’t get it. Then they sat down and tried to do their powers but that worked to.

“I am stumped,” said Rosie. “I can’t figure this out!”  Then it was like a instant brain storm. She said, “I think I can find out this stumping, hair pulling out, frustrating, problem if you and me try doing our Powers at the same time.

“Okay, that worked. Now you go in your brother’s room across the hall and shut the door and do your power. 3,2,1 Go!!!”

“I can’t run fast,” said Emily.

“I can’t turn invisible,” said Rosie.

“That’s my point. We can’t do our powers in different areas at the same time.”

“Oh,” said Emily, “I understand.  We just have to do our powers at different times but in the same area.”

“I can’t wait for our next mystery,’ said Emily.

“Me either,” said Rosie.

Storms

Have you ever been in a storm? Can storms be dangerous? Are natural disasters the same as storms? Well if you read this book you will be able to solve most of your questions about storms and their impact on the world.

Tornadoes

Tornadoes are funnels of wind that can spin faster than 360 miles per hour. Tornadoes are hard to predict because they form on land so the only warning you can get is if a Meteorologist saw one, but scientists are trying hard to change that. Tornado’s can be very dangerous. Since their wind speed is so high, they can cause a lot of damage. Scientists are learning to use radar when thunderstorms get strong and start to spin.

Hurricanes

Hurricanes are stronger then all the storms comined. Hurricanes give you close to two days to prepare because they form over deep, blue, warm water. Hurricanes from over warm areas. That is where they pick-up all there power. Hurricanes have what’s called an eye, it’s the calm place in the storm. The eye is in the middle of the hurricane.

Snowstorm

Blizzards and snowstorms cause whiteouts. Whiteouts are when you can barley see a thing, that’s how much white! During a snowstorm you can’t get out of your warm, snuggly, happy home.

Blizzard

Blizzards can last a HUMONGOUS, BIG, SPECTACULAR amount of time. When warm air and cold air collide, the warm air has to go on top of the cold making a storm.

I guess storms can be dangerous. Now I know that Natural Disasters are not the same as storms.
